About Glenn
I have lived with and cared for cats my entire life — they have been a constant and beloved part of my world since childhood. I currently have two cats of my own who are little sisters, and I have been providing dedicated care in the Van Ness neighborhood for the past three years.
As a fellow resident here in the building, I am not a stranger dropping by. I am your neighbor. That familiarity matters — for you, and for your cat.
I find that cats have a natural affinity for me, often bonding and establishing trust almost immediately. That easy connection means a calmer, more comfortable experience for your cat from the very first visit.
Little Shortstop is an endearing nickname I have given one of my own cats since she was tiny. Somehow, it just felt right to name the business after her.

Feeding on your cat's schedule with fresh water refreshed every visit — the reliable care they count on.
Standard litter box scooping at every visit to keep the home clean and comfortable for your cat.
Professional-quality snapshots after every visit, if you would like them. A wonderful way to stay connected and see your cat doing well while you are away.
Monitoring your cat's mood, appetite, and well-being throughout each visit, with prompt communication if anything seems off.
Your cat stays in the environment they know, surrounded by their own smells, toys, and routines. No carrier stress, no foreign spaces.
Pricing & Policies
Pricing is negotiable based on specific needs or longer-term arrangements. Payment is due in full at the completion of the service period.
Where I Work
I directly serve clients in the Van Ness neighborhood of Washington, DC. As a neighbor myself, I am never far away — and your cat never has to wait long.
For clients located outside of the Van Ness neighborhood, I am happy to discuss arrangements. An additional travel fee may apply.

They put us completely at ease and let us actually relax while we are away.
